We had a minor service outage between Feb 22, 2018 and Oct 6, 2019. Everything is working okay now.

The idea of being "woke" is ridiculous because none of us can transcend beyond our own personal experiences.

The animal liberation movement is rapidly growing, and I'm concerned that leftists are brushing it aside. Not only is it our most surefire way out of impending ecological disaster, it is such an obvious requirement for achieving a upotic anarchist/communist world where there is no class or hierarchy. Animals are sentient; accept it. They have their own unique experiences, just like we do. They too deserve to be free.
Telling other people they shouldn't kill animals doesn't make me feel like I'm "superior" to others. The whole premise of the argument is that humans and non-human animals deserve the same level of consideration and respect. I place human beings at the same level as cows, chickens, and pigs, as opposed to believing we have dominion over them. This is the antithesis of superiority.
If you wouldn't kill a human, you shouldn't kill a non-human animal. Morally speaking, there is no distinction, as both are sentient beings with the capacity to feel pain. A difference in species alone does not justify moral discrimination; a Homo erectus could qualify as a "person" despite being another species. Intelligence is not a reason, when humans with low IQs aren't killed. An animal's life is worth more than a momentary taste sensation. What is your rationalization? There isn't one.
Is it true we're all going to be incinerated by 2040 due to climate change?
Hey Mastodon, does anyone have RiseUp? I'd like to use their VPN for my animal rights group and would appreciate an invite code if anyone would be so kind!
We've reorganized our Philly animal rights group. We're growing and improving. Animal rights, coming to a city near you.™ https://liberationphilly.org/
You know that awkward feeling when you receive an unwanted gift? You unwrap it as the giver watches on, and you fake enthusiasm. This is how I feel every day about the entire world.
Finally updated this instance to the latest version of Mastodon. Looks great!

"There are 210 million orphans in the world, 15% of whom will commit suicide by age 18"

This is why having biological children is unethical. If you must have children, the only ethical way is to adopt.

I just saw an empty bag of pet treats on the ground marketed as "party mix."

I keep seeing these so called "activists" holding signs that say "Hungry. Need help." Why don't you do some real activism, like "Animal Liberation Now"?

(This is a self parody of animal rights groups.)

I keep seeing the label "guilt free" applied to low calorie foods. As @Marykate said, it's not "guilt free" if you're consuming another animal's body or breast milk. To use that phrase while contributing to violence is irrational and selfish.
